Viva Wyndham Resorts, a collection of all-inclusive properties located in the Caribbean, including the Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Mexico, announced the availability of on-site COVID-19 PCR testing for all guests visiting the chain’s resorts. Viva Wyndham is working with various providers to facilitate reliable testing options at competitive price points to ensure that all guests who prefer the convenience of speedy, on-site testing will have a hassle-free vacation experience.   

Viva Wyndham Resorts is also offering free antigen testing for US residents who visit Dominican Republic hotels. This service, provided by the government of the Domincan Republic, but offered on-site at the hotel, starts on January 26 and will extend for 60 days. As of this date, the CDC accepts this type of testing as valid for travelers who plan to enter the U.S. via commercial flights. 

The announcement follows a recent statement released by the government of The Dominican Republic stating that all visitors to the country will have access to COVID-19 PCR tests, which provide results in 48 to 72 hours. Viva Wyndham is working alongside local suppliers and service providers to establish this on-site testing across all resorts. As a result of these partnerships, Viva Wyndham guarantees reliable, on-site testing options at a competitive price point to ensure all guests have access to results within the established timeframe and enjoy a hassle-free vacation experience.   

Guests who wish to take advantage of these new services are strongly encouraged to make arrangements at the guest services department upon arrival to the resort. Arrangements must be made with prior notice and testing scheduled in advance to ensure results are delivered in a timely manner. On-site testing is not included as part of Viva’s insurance coverage.
