RIU guests can now take advantage of a new way to enjoy exclusive benefits, on top of RIU’s all-inclusive service

RIU Hotels & Resorts’ Riu Palace Pacifico has reopened following a complete refurbishment of all the hotel’s facilities.

Located on Playa de Flamingos beach in Nayarit, Mexico, the resort is now an adults-only property offering the new Elite Club by RIU. With Elite Club, introduced last year, RIU guests can take advantage of a new way to enjoy exclusive benefits, on top of RIU’s all-inclusive service.

With the refurbishment, common areas such as the lobby and reception have become more spacious and functional, says the hotel company. The new location of the Lobby Bar puts the popular watering hole at the centre of the action.

The hotel’s 445 rooms have also been completely renovated and now feature soft, elegant tones and naturally lit areas to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Elite Club guests will have access to exclusive areas of Riu Palace Pacifico, such as a private area on the beach with Balinese beds and an exclusive bar serving premium drinks. They can also enjoy these drinks in the Sports Bar and the new Elite Club Lounge Bar, an exclusively reserved area where they can also check in. There’s also a new dining option for these guests, who can access the Elite Club restaurant for both à la carte breakfast options and dinner in the evening. Elite Club service also includes 62 rooms with privileged views and premium spirits dispensers, a minibar with snacks and bottle of wine, early check-in and guaranteed late check-out until 1 p.m., a welcome gift and aromatherapy in the room, as well as the possibility of making priority bookings in the hotel’s themed restaurants.

For dining options, the Riu Palace Pacifico has a new Italian restaurant and a Japanese restaurant that now offers a wide range of Asian street food style dishes, in addition to the main restaurant with an international buffet, the Mexican specialty restaurant, the steakhouse and the fusion restaurant.

There’s also two new snack bars in the pool area: Pepe’s Food, which offers grilled dishes, and Tiki Tako, where guests can enjoy a variety of traditional Mexican tacos. The Sports Bar has also stepped up its game with a new all-American favourites concept. In addition to the Sports Bar, guests at the Riu Palace Pacifico can enjoy five other bars, one of which is the Pool Bar located by one of the three swimming pools. There’s also a new café.

The hotel continues to offer the best daytime and evening entertainment seven days a week, and all of RIU’s guests can attend the RIU Party events or visit the Pacha nightclub at the Riu Jalisco. The refurbished gym is still located in the Spa area, which has a room for a variety of treatments, a massage room, a jacuzzi area and a steam bath.

RIU Hotels is currently updating many of its properties in all of the countries and destinations where it is present. In the case of Mexico, the chain has a portfolio of 22 hotels and practically all of them are new or have been refurbished in the past five years.
