Jamaica Tourist Board
A popular destination for food lovers!

Jamaica has become a popular destination for food lovers who are interested in exploring the island’s rich culinary heritage. The widespread ‘farm-to-table’ trend has taken root on the island and shows no sign of waning.

Kingston

In Kingston, clients can visit one of the island’s hidden culinary treasures, EITS Café. Located near Newcastle in the Blue Mountain region, the café serves gourmet European-Jamaican food using ingredients grown on-site at the Food Basket Farm.

Ocho Rios

In Ocho Rios, at Jamaica Inn, diners can enjoy a farm-to-table experience with Executive Chef Maurice, who’ll accompany them each Friday to the local farmer’s market. Guests can sip fresh coconut water during a special insider’s tour that includes stops at the chef’s favourite farm stands. After shopping, there’s a 30- to 45-minute cooking demonstration in the Upper Dining Room.

Montego Bay

In Montego Bay, Round Hill Hotel & Villas has a strong commitment to using locally grown, sustainable produce. They focus on both bringing in the freshest organic ingredients from local farming communities and preparing the meals using healthy practices. Non-guests of the hotel can experience their farm-to-table dinner every Thursday and Sunday night.

Negril

In Negril, lunch at Zimbali Retreats cannot be missed. While lunch is being prepared, guests can take a guided tour of the seven-acre farm. Then, Chefs Eli and Alecia will entertain while preparing a salad, soup and entree. Vegan and gluten-free options are available and all of the ingredients are organic.
