The Spa in Me, LLC, offers an annual retreat for women and recently started the Cedar Park Chapter of The Silent Book Club. A woman’s experience is grounded in her personal and professional life.

That’s why they offer programs and services to help women find the self care strategies that work best for them.

 

About the Retreat

The retreat will take place on October 26, 2019, from 8:00am – 9:30pm at McKinney Roughs Nature Park in Cedar Creek, Texas. This location brings attendees closer to nature. Since it's only one day, it's ideal for busy women.

 

The day’s itinerary includes:

• Live music by a harpist
• A henna tattoo artist
• Vegetarian meals and snacks
• A facilitated, conversational Sparked card game
• An aromatherapy session
• A skin care session
• An outdoor movie in the amphitheater
• A dance party
• And, of course, free time!

 

 

The Spa in Me

The retreat is hosted by Sandra K. Foreman, founder of The Spa in Me, LLC. Her personal story of burnout inspired her to start The Spa in Me, L.L.C., to offer an annual self care retreat for women.

She is a wife, mother, and lawyer, who slowly burned out and became dissatisfied and lost. She then learned that she had to take better care of herself. She now teaches these lessons to busy career women and mothers.

Scholarship

The Spa in Me, LLC, is also offering its second annual scholarship. This year, the scholarship is to award a woman who is also a caregiver of a family member, of any age, with a mental or physical impairment.

The scholarship recipient will receive admission to the Rest, Reset, and Restore Retreat and Pajama Party, on October 26, 2019, and onsite lodging in the bridal suite, from Friday, at 3:00pm, October 25, 2019, until Sunday, at 10:00am, on October 27, 2019, at McKinney Roughs Nature Park in Cedar Creek, Texas.

The application process started on August 1, 2019, and ends on August 31, 2019. A scholarship committee of seven women will make the scholarship decision.
