Duluth Travel is choosing to invest in their employees during this pandemic

June 24 - Arthur Salus, the CEO of Duluth Travel, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Company, was interviewed by a travel industry news journalism company about ‘The Future Of Travel Management Companies’.

Dozens of TMCs’ owners were interviewed for this article and the majority had a similar future, becoming a smaller company.

Duluth Travel is one of the few companies who are choosing to invest in their employees during this pandemic over the idea of maximizing profits.

Mr. Salus told the reporter he felt an obligation to support his employees. “The 80 employees I have helped me make money. Now, when things are bad, it’s my turn to jump in and continue to pay them from my own pocket. If they miss one paycheck, their lives start to change. I can’t do that to people.”

All Duluth Travel employees have continued working and the company is covering the full amount of their health benefits.

The CEO and Owner of one of the largest TMC’s in the Southeast, is aware that this is one of the major crisis the travel industry has had to face. Today, he’s investing in his employees who are the present and future of his company.

Mr. Salus is confident that Duluth Travel will come out stronger than ever after the crisis is over. Click here for the full article.
