Cayman Islands
Cayman Islands has paused their reopening plan until at least the end of this year

On September 15th, the Hon Premier, Mr. Wayne Panton has announced that the Cayman Islands Government has paused the phased re-opening of Cayman's borders until at least the end of this year. The announcement comes as the Government's response to a rash of new positive Covid-19 cases over the past few days that have been a result of community transmission.

In addition, the current protocols for entering the country have been tightened as follows:

  • No unvaccinated visitors will be allowed into the country.
  • Visitors and residents entering the country that are securely vaccinated will now quarantine for 7 days (Cayman Islands had just dropped that to 5 days.)
  • Residents of the Cayman Islands that are unvaccinated will quarantine for 14 days.
  • There is no lockdown in the Cayman Islands but some mask mandates and social distancing in certain places protocols are being implemented. Local businesses will be authorized to mandate masks.

Cayman Islands look forward to providing further updates and answering your questions over the next few weeks. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Cayman Islands Department of Tourism Sales Representative. VisitCaymanIslands.com/SalesTeam.
