American Airlines
New service to Barcelona, Spain (BCN) and Redmond, Oregon (RDM) will take off next summer

Get a head start on next summer’s vacation with a record-setting schedule from American Airlines at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). For summer 2024, American will offer more seats departing DFW than ever before in the airline’s history from more than 850 daily departures. Coupled with service to new cities and more flights to more than 35 destinations, American’s DFW hub will continue to be the premier hub for connecting customers around the country and the world.

Tickets are available for purchase on aa.com or American’s mobile app.

Setting records for Texas

American is the largest airline in Texas, with 55% more flights and 30% more seats from DFW than the next-largest competitor’s hub in the state. The airline connects more than 230 destinations from DFW, the most destinations from a single hub in Texas.

American offers flights from more Texas cities than any other airline, with over 65% more cities served than the next-closest competitor, and almost double the number of flights.

DFW will be the only airline hub in Texas offering premium cabins on every flight. Since May 2023, every flight to every destination nonstop from DFW on American provides customers the option to choose between at least two classes of service throughout their travel journey.

More flights across the country

Next summer, American’s DFW hub will offer customers more than 10,000 connection opportunities around the world through DFW. The airline will provide more flights and seats to popular destinations around the country, giving customers more ways to see new places or connect with friends and family.

American will launch the first-ever daily service between DFW and Redmond, Oregon (RDM), becoming the airline’s third nonstop destination in Oregon from DFW, after Portland (PDX) and Eugene (EUG).

Across the U.S., American will increase service to give customers access to popular outdoor getaways, including more seats to Santa Rosa, California (STS) and Traverse City, Michigan (TVC), and resuming summer service to St. George, Utah (SGU), while continuing to operate daily service to Albany, New York (ALB).

Investing in the DFW hub

American opened a new state-of-the-art catering facility earlier this year to serve its DFW hub. The 214,000-square-foot building is the largest airline catering kitchen in the country and is more than three times the size of a football field. The kitchen’s high-tech design allows American to cater flights more efficiently while enhancing the airline's ability to deliver a memorable onboard dining experience to customers. During the peak travel season, the facility prepares nearly 15,000 fresh meals a day.

A new 10-year Use and Lease Agreement with the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport was finalized earlier this year, setting the stage for American to continue growing at its largest hub for years to come. The new agreement includes nearly $5 billion of pre-approved capital investments, including the construction of gate expansions at Terminal A and Terminal C, construction of a new sixth Terminal F, and a major reimagining of Terminal C, which operates the most daily departures of any terminal at DFW.

These investments will deliver additional gates to prepare for long-term growth and allow American to expand operations in existing terminals to maximize operational capability and enhance the experience for customers.
