WestJet, Air Canada and Porter Airlines are trying to make it easier for travellers to book their perfect vacations with these announcements!

WestJet & Hong Kong Airlines sign codeshare deal

As reported by Travelweek, WestJet and Hong Kong Airlines have entered into a codeshare agreement, building on an existing interline agreement put in place earlier this year.

The codeshare agreement will see Hong Kong Airlines putting its HX marketing code on WestJet-operated flights.

Hong Kong Airlines’ Li Dianchun, Chief Commercial Officer, hopes that with the codeshare agreement their network will go beyond Vancouver and reach to gateways in Eastern Canada.

Air Canada Embraces Ireland

Air Canada is expanding their seasonal services to Ireland with new non-stop flights from Toronto to Shannon and between Montreal and Dublin. The new services will commence operation in June 2018 and will include:

Porter Airlines adds more gateways and daily routes

September was a big month for Porter Airlines. They announced the following:

• Mont Tremblant: To welcome the ski season, the airlines will be providing seasonal service to Mont Tremblant from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport on a 70 minute flight.

• Fredericton: Porter will be providing daily flights to Fredericton between Ottawa and continue to downtown Toronto.

• Orlando-Melbourne: Porter is expanding their services to Orlando-Melbourne Fla., by adding non-stop flights from Ottawa and Windsor. This will be a seasonal weekly service operating from December 16 - March 31. Toronto departures will be until April 7 with twice the weekly flights during peak periods, plus three times weekly for March Break.

• Saint John: Daily flights will be operating between Ottawa and Saint John.
