Small Luxury Hotels of the World introduced 3 hotels in three new destinations in 2019. These destinations are Bahrain, Brisbane and Arizona.

Each hotel pays homage to its local surroundings, from its history to the social and cultural diversity of the city, giving guests an insight into the local life. Independently minded travelers will also be delighted with new choices in their all-time favourite cities of London and Mykonos.

 

The Merchant House - Manama, Bahrain

• Opened: January 14, 2019

Located next to Manama’s famous Bab Al-Bahrain, guests at The Merchant House will find themselves fully immersed into local Bahraini life. Just steps away is a maze of market shops that brings to mind the style of commerce from days long past.

Each room featuring open plan areas designed for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel’s interior design is based on a tangible sense of place relating to the location. Artwork is a prominent feature, showcasing Bahraini artists.

Castle Hot Springs - Arizona, United States

• Opens: February, 2019

Castle Hot Springs Resort has rock pool thermal springs hidden along the rugged Bradshaw Mountains, bungalows equipped with its own outdoor room and hot spring tub, and a diverse range of curated activities.

Originally opened in 1896 and now restored to its original glory. Guests can relax in the same historic cottage as past presidents did.

Vintry & Mercer - London, United Kingdom

• Opens: February 14, 2019

Named after the local fine wine (Vintry) and silk trading (Mercer) guilds, Vintry & Mercer is nestled among the historic livery halls and winding lanes of this ancient London district.

This is where the long traditions of trade and commerce come to life in the contemporary style of the rooms and suites. Think bespoke fabrics inspired by merchant tailors of centuries past, and historic navigation maps and photographs on the walls.

• Opened: November, 2018
