Fisherman’s Village

When constructing the Park Hyatt St. Kitts, a lot of thought was put into the design aesthetic of the overall resort (modern beach house) and the overall epicurean experience (top drawer culinary; welcoming dining halls). As its name implies, Fisherman’s Village is seafood focussed, offering an Al fresco elegant dining experience perched above the water.   

Designed to reflect the huts and berths that once lined the St. Kitts coastline, this is the place to enjoy stunning ocean views paired with an eclectic menu of island-inspired foods and freshly caught seafood. The bar here is worth a late afternoon visit on its own- a great stand up bar with comfortable seating on multiple levels of patio leading to the pier. Gets our vote.      

The Stone Barn

Yet the main dining hall is the Great Room, and also as its name implies- both grand and inviting. Just past the rum tasting bar and open kitchen concept of the Great Room is what feels like a secret- or perhaps special- walk way across ponds to the adults only Stone Barn Restaurant.

The stone barns on the island of St. Kitts were once used to protect the crops during the wet season on the island. The Stone Barn offers adult-only dining for dinner and serving food from the hearth. This restaurant experience is very special. Excellent plates served in a stunningly beautiful and well thought out designed room. Gets our vote too.      

The answer to this delightful dilemma is to do both. One night catch the setting sun at Fisherman’s Village bar and then treat yourself to some excellently grilled fresh fish, and the other night get your romance vibe on and feel very, very special in the Stone Barn.
