5. Ragged Point

4. San Simeon

San Simeon Cove is part of the W.R. Hearst State Beach and is a popular spot for picnics, kayaking and fishing and offers BBQ pits and picnic tables located near an 850-foot pier.

3. Cambria

Located within minutes of Hearst Castle, Big Sur and Paso Robles Wine Country, Cambria is best known for its picturesque windswept coastline.

  1. Los Osos/Baywood Park

Los Osos is home to Montaña de Oro State Park filled with secluded sandy beaches and ocean side bluffs perfect for hiking along the Pacific Coast.

 

Highway 1 Road Alerts

If you're heading to the Central Coast, be sure to be mindful of the stretch of Highway 1, located 21 miles north of Cambria. Caltrans is busy with a major construction project to make traveling along the stunning Pacific Coast Highway a safer journey. Cambria is easily accessible from Highway 101 and Highway 46. Please note that Highway 1 is still open from Morro Bay to Ragged Point. For those traveling past Ragged Point, check out these Sights to See Along the Detour.
